RSI Alert
This software is a must for people who spend long hours in front of the computer. The software is easy to install and easy to use. You can be up and running in minutes.
RSI Alert is designed to remind people to take regular breaks when using a PC or computer terminal. Once installed, an "eye" will appear in your system tray in the bottom right hand corner of the screen. This is the only indication that RSI Alert is active.
Firstly, print this page of installation instructions to your local printer, then download the software.
Download RSI Alert for Windows 98ME or 2000/XP
Clicking on the above link will start the software download. Depending on your level of security you may get some warnings about the appropriateness of the file you are downloading. Click on the "Open" button (XP) or the "Run program from this location" (most other versions of Windows) and the software transfer will start. When the download is 100% complete, close the download dialog box and the installation will commence.
Firstly you will be asked if you wish to commence the installation. You can exit at this point if you don't wish to proceed.
Next click on the button to start the standard install. The next screen will prompt you to set up a Menu Group called RSI Alert so you can run the program from the program menu. At this point you could either press OK or select another program Group. If you want the Alert to start automatically each time you start your computer, select the "Startup" Group from the list. In a few seconds the installation will complete and the software will be ready to use. No need to re-boot!
Go to, Start then Programs.
Select the program group you installed the program into and click on the "RSI Alert" software. An eye will appear in your system tray. Left clicking on this eye will pop up a configuration dialog in the centre of the screen.

This will allow you to configure your personal settings.
1. Firstly set the time intervals for your reminders.
2. Next select whether you want to be reminded with a musical sound or a voice.
3. Then select if you want to have a standard screen prompt or a screen prompt with ergonomic tips.
The "Hide me" button returns this dialog to the system tray.
Right clicking on the "eye" in the system tray will allow you access to further options;
